Harvest of forgotten years,
Wheat ground with chaff,
By uncaring stones,

Inheritance,
Glitters until it dulls,
Tarnished by time,
Easily found and easily thrown away.

Calling for phantoms of those
Who have not gone or been,
To grieve,
Conceiving tragedies and causing their deaths again,
They bleed

Bidden across the threshold,
They fade into the floor,
Sinking,
Rattling the foundations
Then falling silent, dormant, waiting

Entranced by that which was,
Dazed by that which might be,
Numb to the sensation,
Of wind on his face
All things won are lost,
All pleasures are fleeting,
Expectations, impotent hopes
Carry us to the end

Intoxicant,
Deadened nerves and sedated mind,
Drained revenant,
Plodding through the world,
Fingers are stained,
With the blood of his prey,
Unsatisfied, triumph marks the onset of malaise

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
