Donovan Zimmerman amazing album, but even better live. blew me away minutes into album. bought it and saw them live 2 days later, where I was blown away again. Favorite track: The Oracle and the Architect.
Dan Curhan

Dan Curhan Oh my lord. The riffs. The absolutely pristine and glorious instrumental goodness that are the riffs. From the fingernails-in-palm blasting of the first song into the groovier tempos of the second with only the briefest of vocal passages, through a variety of blackened 3-piece soundscapes into the slightly more mellow 11-minute epic closer, this is technical, blackened mindfuckery in its filthiest, most satisfying form.
Metallurgical Fire
Metallurgical Fire thumbnail
Metallurgical Fire Blackened death is one of my favorite genres, and the first time I heard this I thought I’d found the quintessential blackened death sound. I was a little overexcited, perhaps, but this is definitely going to be in the top 5 releases of the year for the genre. Just a sick album on all levels. Killer drummer. Favorite track: Below Deck.
