Memory sits atop the mountain
A sudden flash of lightning
The plains below start churning,
Single cells are forming
Fins then legs are growing

Millennia of solitude broken, he waits
Roads carve through the valley,
Fields burdened with dead flesh,
To satiate the hunger,
Of new demigods rising

Intruders in the grove, Memory stirs
Up the slopes they send,
Prophets and holy men,
Against the sky his outline,
Return with tales of the divine
Statues crumble, kings are crippled, kingdoms fall,
Cannibal urges, festering plague destroys them all,
One thousand eyes close, memory sinks back into sleep,
Seeking dreams while the virus becomes a new entity.

An excellent blend of black metal and death metal sounds. The whole thing is just a delightfully creepy listen! The dual vocal attack is great. There is a lot of tremolo in the guitar riffs, alternating between low and crushing tones and blistering high tones. Excellent album, beginning to end! klflick1980
